Back Again! It’s Been a While…

Hey there! Ok, so last time I posted was something like July 8th or 9th, and now it is September 24th… Way too long in between!

I have still been journaling, I just haven’t shared those piles of word garbage online. But when I got back on here, I saw that my post had a few comments on it! Which is awesome. Vivaldi has really built an awesome, small community that really supports its own. And I am glad to be a part of it.

With that being said, I have been using Vivaldi even more extensively, and have fallen in love with a few more features I thought I might share.

Mouse Gestures

Man, mouse gestures freakin’ ROCK! I use them all the time. My two favorites have to be swiping down and back up to reload, swiping down for a new tab, and (I think) swiping up for a new background tab. Someone please fact check me on that last one. I am writing this on my iPad, so I can’t check Vivaldi settings 😂

Tab Splitting

This is one that I have known about and used a bit in the past, but recently I have really started to love it, as it really helps when it comes to things like note-taking and budgeting specifically. One thing I wish though, and I am not sure if this is an issue on the Vivaldi side or the site side, is that there could be better support for horizontal scrolling on windows that are too small in split-screen mode.

Notes

Speaking of note-taking, the notes feature is freakin’ sweet! I love that I can copy text, images, etc. and save it in a note for later. And the fact that Vivaldi has an amazing sidebar that you can pin notes in makes it even better and more accessible. Absolutely love that.

Search Engine Features

Ok… I saved the best for last here… I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the fact that in Vivaldi, you can set so many different, obscure, random search engines.

Not only can you right-click a search bar and add it automatically (if the site supports it), but you can go into Vivaldi settings and add them in there as well. As many as you want. It is absolutely brilliant, and if I ever wanted to move away from Vivaldi, there is no doubt that this feature would persuade me out of it.

Welp, that’s that! Those are my updates of word puke. Don’t worry, I won’t always post about Vivaldi related stuff, but hey, it’s been a while… my mind is on Vivaldi again… sue me.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to vomiting on you again soon.
